Getting to hotels
from the airport
There is an official airport taxi stand near the exit of the Arrivals Hall at the airport( in front and slightly right as you exit). You have to pay cash for taxis (there are bank machines - ATMs also on the right of arrivals. The taxi fare to the St Giles Wembley Hotel or other areas of Georgetown will be about RM 40 (around USD 8). Tipping is not necessary or expected, but is welcomed. The local Uber equivalent is Grab. You could download the app if you wish to use Grab for transportation. These would be cheaper and are reliable.
